You will receive your course materials the first day of class. The registration fee includes the CPO® Handbook and all certification fees. You will be contacted with the location for your selected course upon registration.
Per the policies by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA, formerly NSPF®), you must attend both days of class or successfully complete the Online Pool Operator Primer™ and 1 day of the Pool Operator Fusion™(see below), to qualify for the exam. Successful completion of at least 75% on the open book written examination will result in certification as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO®) issued by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA, formerly NSPF®) valid for five years.
NOTE: You must bring valid, government issued picture ID (Drivers License, Passport, Military ID, Resident Alien Card, etc)with you on the first day of class. You must bring with you a pencil/highlighter/writing pad and a calculator. Calculators that are on smart phones are NOT allowed during the exam.

CPO® Online Pool Operator Primer™ Course
$260.00 - Your purchase includes an training code by which you access the online training area and begin your self-paced online training experience. This course consists of eight lessons. Upon successful completion of the online training course you will receive a "Record of Completion" from the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, (PHTA, formerly NSPF®). Use the "Record of Completion" to enroll in the CPO® One Day Fusion™ classroom course. THIS ONLINE COURSE ALONE DOES NOT EARN YOU CPO CERTIFICATION.

CPO® One Day Fusion™ Course
$205.00 - PREREQUISTE: To attend this one-day course you must bring a "Record of Completion" issued by the PHTA for the CPO® Online Pool Operator Primer™ Course, your Certified Pool-Spa Operator Handbook, a valid government issued ID, and successfully pass the final exam with a score of 75% or better. Meeting these requirements will earn you a certificate as a Certified Pool Operator and be registered with the PHTA valid for five years.

PHTA® CPO® RE-CERTIFICATION OPTION #1
You may take the 2-Day classroom course or both the Online Pool Operator Primer™ training and the 1 day classroom Pool Operator Fusion™ course. At the end, you must successfully complete an open book exam with a minimum score of 75%. Cost of the 2-Day classroom course renewal would be $390.00. If you choose to pay for the Online Pool Operator Primer and the 1 day Fusion course please use the links above under each course description.
(NOTE: If your CPO® certification has expired these are the only options for re-certification.)
PHTA® CPO® RE-CERTIFICATION OPTION #2
You may take the online Pool Operator Primer™ course and make arrangements with Michael Robertson @ 573-228-8173, to administer the open-book CPO® certification exam for you. You must have a minimum score of 75% on the exam to re-certify.
Cost of this renewal would be $320.00
(NOTE: Your CPO® certification must not be expired to re-certify this way.)
PHTA® CPO® RE-CERTIFICATION OPTION #3
If available, you may take day 2 of the 2 day course with the certification exam at the end. You must have a minimum score of 75% on the exam to re-certify. Cost of this renewal would be $260.00
